ယမန္ေန႔က ဘားအံျမိဳ႕တြင္ ေတြ႔ရေသာ အစုိးရ၏ ကရင္ျပည္နယ္ ျငိမ္းခ်မ္းေရး ေဖာ္ေဆာင္မႈ ေကာ္မတီ၀င္မ်ား ႏွင့္ KNU ျငိမ္းခ်မ္းေရး ေဖာ္ေဆာင္ေရးအဖဲြ႔၀င္မ်ား၏ ညစာစားပဲြ ျမင္ကြင္းတခု (ဓာတ္ပုံ - ဧရာ၀တီ)အခုလုိ ေရႊ႕ဆုိင္းလုိက္ရျခင္းဟာ KNU ဘက္က တဖက္သတ္ ေရႊ႕ဆုိင္းလိုက္တာျဖစ္ပါတယ္ လုိ႔ ေၾကညာခ်က္ က ဆုိပါတယ္။
အစုိးရဘက္က ကိုယ္စားလွယ္က လာမယ့္ ၾသဂုတ္လ ၂၇၊ ၂၈ ကို ေဆြးေႏြးၾကဖုိ႔ ႏုတ္အားျဖင့္ အတည္ျပဳေပ မယ့္ KNU ဘက္က စိတ္ပ်က္စရာ အေျခအေနေတြေၾကာင့္ အခုလုိ ေရႊ႕ဆုိင္းလိုက္တာလည္းျဖစ္တယ္လို႔ ေၾက
ညာခ်က္က ဆုိပါတယ္။
မၾကာေသးမီက ထုိင္း-ျမန္မာ နယ္စပ္ၿမိဳ႕ တၿမိဳ႕ျဖစ္တဲ့ ျမ၀တီၿမိဳ႕မွာ အစုိးရဘက္က ကိုယ္စားလွယ္ေတြျဖစ္တဲ့ ၀န္ႀကီး ဦးေအာင္မင္း၊ ဦးခင္ရီ အစရွိသူေတြနဲ႔ တတိယအႀကိမ္ အပစ္ရပ္ေဆြးေႏြးပြဲအတြက္
ဒီရက္ကုိ ဖားအံမွာ က်င္းပဖုိ႔ စီစဥ္ခဲ့တာလည္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
အဂၤလိပ္ဘာသာျဖင့္ ထုတ္ေ၀ထားေသာ KNU ေၾကညာခ်က္ အျပည့္အစံုကို ေဖာ္ျပေပးလုိက္ပါတယ္။

Statement on the Burmese Government’s Postponement of the Third Round of Negotiations with the Karen National Union
August 25, 2012
The Karen National Union (KNU) announces that the Government of Burma has unilaterally postponed the third round of ceasefire negotiations between the Parties, previously scheduled for August 27th to 29th in the City of Pa’an in Karen State. The Government’s representatives confirmed the postponement verbally. The Karen National Union is disappointed that the negotiations will not take place as previously scheduled and will work with the Government in good faith to move forward with talks as soon as possible.
The Parties had agreed to the negotiation dates during a preliminary meeting on August 5th. The Parties had planned to discuss a Code of Conduct and troop withdrawals, as agreed by both parties during the union level negotiations held at Sedona Hotel in Rangoon on April 6, 2012.
The Karen National Union considers each step in the ceasefire negotiation process to be an opportunity to build trust between the parties. Such trust is essential to implement any ceasefire agreement.
The Karen National Union believes that the successful implementation of the ceasefire will further depend on the willingness and good faith of both parties. Therefore the Karen National Union calls upon the Government to move forward with the negotiations in a way that will build confidence and trust between the parties.
